Style her Strength

 

Kethlene Felican-Torres is the founder and CEO of a nonprofit project, called "Style her Strength".  Style her Strength is designed to give back to women who have undergone a traumatic illness or who are facing adversity that has severely impaired their normal daily function. The goal is to uplift their mood, provide them with a sense of solace, and teach them healthy ways to cope. This process consists of counseling sessions, hairstyling; make up, wardrobe styling, spa services, and photography. As a seasoned social worker and Fashion Stylist, Kethlene works to not only transform the recipient’s appearance physically but also transform their mind and how they view themselves. She provide coping strategies using different therapeutic methods such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy and teaches the recipient the importance of self-love.
